To sign "Whale" in American Sign Language (ASL), extend the thumb and pinky of your dominant hand, palm facing down. Next, position your non-dominant hand or arm horizontally in front of your stomach. Then, beginning at the elbow of your non-dominant hand, move your dominant hand in a waving motion back to the side.
