To sign "sweep" in American Sign Language (ASL), form a flat "5" handshape with both hands. Hold your non-dominant hand in front of you, palm up, representing the floor. Place your dominant hand above your non-dominant hand with the palm facing sideways. Move your dominant hand back and forth in a sweeping motion across your non-dominant hand.
