To sign "Son" in American Sign Language (ASL), take the following steps:

1. Begin with a flat hand (fingers together, thumb out) near your forehead.

2. Lower your hand to the inside of your opposite elbow.

3. Finish with both hands in a cradling motion, as though you are holding a baby.
