To sign "Practice" in American Sign Language (ASL), form an "A" handshape with your dominant hand by extending your thumb and curling your other fingers (palm facing down). Rest the knuckles of your dominant hand against the back of your non-dominant index finger (both palms facing down), then move your dominant hand back and forth a few times as if you are smoothing or polishing a surface.
